Breathe
PlayAbout
Box breathing is a four-phase breath cycle used by meditators, athletes, and emergency responders to settle the nervous system: inhale for four seconds, hold for four, exhale for four, hold for four. The pattern's simplicity is its strength — there's nothing to remember once your body knows the count.
Breathe is a quiet companion for the practice. Press and hold anywhere to inhale; the sphere expands with your breath. Release to exhale; it contracts. At each extreme — full lungs, empty lungs — a steady four-beat pulse marks the hold phase. There is no timer in the corner, no streak to keep, no score. Just the rhythm and your attention to it, for as long as you stay with it.
A few minutes of paced breathing settles the body and brings attention back to the present. Use it before sleep, between meetings, or any moment the day feels louder than you'd like.
