Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of aeone.games and anything you buy on it. By using the site, or by purchasing a game or the lifetime pass, you agree to them. Plain English; if anything is unclear, write to us.

What aeone.games is

aeone.games is a collection of browser-based games that are in active development. Most are free to open and play; some games, and the lifetime pass, are paid (see Purchases). Multiplayer matches connect players directly over a peer-to-peer (WebRTC) link, so by playing online you may be connected with other players.

Your account and identity key

There is no signup, email, or password. When you first open the site your browser generates an anonymous identity key, and possession of that key is what authorizes actions on your account — including access to anything you have purchased. We never hold your private key.

Keep your transfer code safe (you can view it in the Profile tool). If you lose it — for example by clearing your browser's storage without saving it first — your identity, your saved progress, and any purchases tied to it become permanently unreachable, and we cannot recover them, because the key never existed anywhere but your browser. Acceptable use

When using aeone.games, you agree not to:

• use the service in violation of any applicable law;
• disrupt, overload, or attack the service, our servers, or other players;
• cheat, exploit bugs, or tamper with game state or the peer-to-peer connection to gain an unfair advantage over other players;
• attempt to access, use, or interfere with another player's account or identity key;
• copy, redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit the games or their assets.

We may suspend or revoke access for conduct that breaks these rules.

Purchases and payments

Some games and the lifetime pass are available as one-time digital purchases — there are no subscriptions and no recurring charges. A per-game purchase unlocks that game; the lifetime pass unlocks all games offered under it.

Checkout and payment are handled by FastSpring, which acts as the Merchant of Record — the legal seller for the transaction. Your purchase contract for the payment itself is with FastSpring and is subject to FastSpring's Terms of Sale for Purchasers. FastSpring collects and processes your payment details, billing email, and any tax information on its own checkout; your card data never passes through our servers.

Prices are shown in US dollars and may change over time; the price presented to you at checkout is the one that applies. Where a patron or other discount is offered, it is applied by FastSpring at checkout.

A completed purchase grants you an entitlement tied to your anonymous identity key, which unlocks the relevant game (or, for the lifetime pass, all games). Entitlements move with your identity key, so you can carry them to another device using your transfer code, but they are not otherwise transferable or resellable.

Refunds

Because purchases are digital and access is granted immediately, all sales are final once access begins, to the fullest extent permitted by law. By completing a purchase you ask us to begin providing the digital content right away and, where applicable, you acknowledge that you lose the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content once delivery has started.

This does not affect refund or consumer-protection rights you have under mandatory law that cannot be waived. Where a refund is granted or required by law, it is processed by FastSpring as Merchant of Record. A refunded or charged-back purchase results in the corresponding unlock being removed; we do not issue partial refunds.

Availability and changes

The games are in active development. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue games, features, or the whole service at any time, and a free game may become paid (or a paid game become free). We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, nor that saved progress will be preserved across changes. The lifetime pass grants access to the games we offer under it for as long as we operate the service; it is not a promise that any particular game will remain available indefinitely.

"As is"

To the fullest extent permitted by law, aeone.games and its games are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the games will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, aeone.games OÜ is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, progress, or access — including access lost because you lost your identity key. Where we are liable and that liability can lawfully be limited, it is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, for the relevant purchase in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, and disputes relating to them fall under the jurisdiction of the Estonian courts in Tallinn — except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to rely on the law of, or bring proceedings in, your country of residence. Your payment contract is with FastSpring and is governed by FastSpring's own terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a material way, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
